Statement of Faith

What we believe...

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, inerrant and inspired in its original writings and is our final authority on all doctrine.
2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21

We believe in one eternal God, personal and knowable, Who exists in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Deut 6:4; John 6:27; Acts 5:3-4; 1 John 5:20

We believe that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and that He died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose again from the dead and ascended bodily back to heaven.
1 Tim 3:16; John 1:1-14; 20:30-31

We believe that man was originally created in the image of God. Through disobedience, self-centeredness and sin he incurred both physical and spiritual death. Thus, all are now born with a sinful nature, separated from God, guilty before God, deserving of judgment, in need of a Savior and can be saved only through the atoning work of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 3:19-26: 5:12-21

We believe that salvation from sin, death and hell is by God's grace only, based on the work of Jesus Christ alone, and is received by faith through believing in your heart and confessing Jesus as Lord with your mouth and apart from any human performance or merit.
John 14:6; Acts 16:31; Eph 2:1-10

We believe that all true born again believers in Jesus Christ are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and that He empowers those believers who obey God.
John 14:16-18; Eph 5:15-21

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a subsequent experience to the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, it is available to all believers; provides power to be a witness, and is evidenced by the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 1:8; 2:4; 10:44-48; 1 Cor 12:1-11

We believe in the eternal punishment of the unbeliever in hell followed by God's final judgement, the lake of fire, and eternal life for the believer in heaven.
Matt 25:46; 2 Thes 1:8-10; Rev 20:11-15; John 14:1-3

We believe in the visible, bodily return of Christ to this earth to judge the world and to claim His Bride, The Church.
1 Thes 4:13-18; Rev 1:7

We believe that all believers should assemble locally together for mutual edification, encouragement, evangelism, service and worship.
Acts 14:21-27; Eph 4:1-16

We believe in divine healing for the human body based on the work of Christ, made available through the prayer of faith.
1 Peter 2:24; James 5:14-15

We believe that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances of the church and should be practiced regularly by all believers.
Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-10

We believe God has ordained and created the institution of marriage to exist between one man and one woman, with absolute marital fidelity. We are committed to the home and family values as set forth in the Holy Bible, which include the distinct roles of husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, and children. This includes the abstinence from sexual activity before marriage and the sanctity of marriage. We believe that any form of sexuality entered into outside of a monogamous, heterosexual marriage is sin and is not an acceptable alternative lifestyle. The marriage relationship between a husband and wife is to reflect and parallel the beauty of the relationship between Christ and His bride, the Church.
Matthew 19:4-5, Ephesians 5:23-30, Romans 1:18-32
